Vestry

The vestry is the elected lay leadership body of the parish. Working in partnership with clergy, diocesan support, and parish leaders, the vestry helps steward the mission, finances, property, and future direction of the church.

Vestry members are members of the congregation called to serve with prayerful discernment, wisdom, and care.

At Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, vestry members re selected by lot, helping to ensure that all parishioners have the opportunity to share in this ministry of service.

Resurrection's Strategic Vision

January 2026

Resurrection is a witness to continuity and transformation, remaining rooted in its core values of justice and inclusion, service to the community, and openness to God’s call.  It is a resilient congregation that responds deeply to scripture and preaching.  Resurrection is a community of belonging – where faith is lived in action and all are welcomed and served with compassion.

Resurrection is a center of spiritual vitality where leadership, worship and outreach embody Jesus and his teachings.  New clergy and Resurrection parishioners will bring new perspectives and energy, connecting us even more deeply to our community and the changes in our neighborhood.

Outreach is lived as an ecumenical collaboration for inclusion, creation care, and housing advocacy, positioning Resurrection as a generous, giving and loving presence in our community.  Resurrection is a church that joyfully reflects faith in action and continually reimagines its role in God’s unfolding story.
