A time of coffee and conversation follows the 10:00 AM service in the parish hall, and is a great time to get to know the community better.

We Believe Faith Should Bless Our Neighbors
The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in West Alexandria is deeply committed to worship that is reverent, relationships that are genuine, and service that is tangible.
Resurrection is a place where you are known by name, welcomed with warmth, and invited into a life of prayer, community, and meaningful action.
Our faith does not remain inside our walls. From partnering in the creation of The Spire, an affordable housing community built on our property, to supporting outreach ministries throughout Alexandria, we believe the hope of resurrection becomes real when it blesses our neighbors.
Here, faith is visible in the neighborhood.
Our Mission
Resurrection exists to worship God in the Episcopal tradition, to nurture a community of belonging, and to live our faith through visible acts of service in West Alexandria.
Rooted in Scripture and shaped by prayer and sacrament, we seek to embody the love, justice, and compassion of Jesus Christ — within our congregation and throughout our neighborhood.
What We Believe
At Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, we follow Jesus Christ and seek to share his love in the world.
As part of the The Episcopal Church, our faith is grounded in scripture, shaped by prayer, and enriched by tradition, reason, and compassion.
Our worship brings together ancient practices and present-day life through scripture, prayer, music, and Holy Communion. Many people are drawn to the Episcopal Church because it makes room for both reverence and questions, faith and curiosity, belonging and growth.

We believe every person is created in the image of God and worthy of dignity, love, and full inclusion in the life of the church. We welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, sexual orientations, and gender expressions. LGBTQ+ people are fully embraced here and invited to participate in every aspect of church life.
You do not need to be Episcopalian, or certain what you believe, to belong here. People come to Resurrection from many different experiences and stages of faith. Whether you are returning to church, exploring for the first time, or looking for a spiritual home, you are welcome here.

Rooted in Faith, Open to All
At Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, we take faith seriously and welcome honest questions. We believe the life of faith is something we grow into together through worship, prayer, learning, and service.
Our worship is rooted in the richness of tradition while remaining warm, accessible, and connected to everyday life. Families, singles, longtime Episcopalians, seekers, and those returning after time away all find room to belong here.
We are committed to loving our neighbors, seeking justice, and serving our community. We fully welcome LGBTQ+ people and honor the gifts and dignity of every person.
Wherever you are in your faith journey, there is a place for you here.
