CASSEROLE MINISTRY
Coordinator: Elizabeth White
This ministry is a part of the Group of Parish
Caregivers. It was set up by our Rector to reach all parishioners, their families and
neighbors who are sick. There is a standing list of 12 people who with love and concern
prepare homemade casseroles and breads of their choice to fill these needs.
These foods are labeled as to ingredients,
heating and/or cooking instructions and church identification. They are packaged, and are
ready for delivery or pick up from the freezer in the Parish Hall (Please inform the
office of Pick-ups).
An inventory is kept of current casseroles and
breads and is replenished when needed.
In addition, these cooks and bakers make small
loaves of banana bread to be presented to newcomers and visitors by the Sunday morning
Greeters. These loaves, which are wrapped, ribboned, and labeled with "Welcome to
Resurrection" tags, have become a part of our warm welcome to visitors.
More parishioners, both men and women, are needed
to help carry out this ministry. To volunteer please call the coordinator.
