The Rev. Jo J. Belser is our Rector. Jo was ordained to the priesthood in 2012 after obtaining a Masters in Divinity degree from the Virginia Theological Seminary. She has been at Resurrection since her ordination, becoming our Priest-in-Charge in 2013 and our Rector in 2015. While here, she has led us through discernment of a new mission to gift our community with affordable housing and develop a new church facility.

Jo was elected to the Diocese of Virginia's Standing Committee in 2015, serving as its Secretary in 2016 and its President in 2017. Jo has been a US Navy Intelligence Officer, a professional services consultant, and an administrator of several Northern Virginia parishes. Jo lives next door to Fort Belvoir, south of the City Alexandria, Virginia.

AnnaMarie Hoos is our seminarian for the 2017-2018 year. She is a Middler at Virginia Theological Seminary from the Diocese of California, and her sending congregation is St. Gregory of Nyssa in San Francisco. A California native, she grew up in Los Angeles. She attended Baylor University in Texas, where she studied English Literature and World Affairs. After college, she spent a year working at a retreat center on Iona, an island off the west coast of Scotland, where she encountered creative, lay-led liturgy and progressive Christianity. Before coming to seminary, AnnaMarie worked as the Communications and Program Planning Manager at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, and before that she worked in operations for the American Red Cross.
